A brief comment on how the definition of "natural" is important
The issue of "natural" is touched upon later, but, briefly, the barney's over whether or not the land being destroyed by farming, mining, forestry, urban development, and so on is "natural" or not.
Why might it not be natural? Well, because it was already human-altered before white settlement, so there can be no real harm in altering it again!
I know some will be shocked at the extreme level of humbuggery involved in this argument, but I guess others would be surprised I'm concerned about it.
